Mayworks Windsor, A Decade of Work — Booklaunch

Press Release

Book Launch for MayWorks Windsor A Decade of Work on Monday April 29th at 6:30 at Arts Council Windsor Region (1942 Wyandotte E.)

Windsor’s MayWorks Festival celebrating Arts, Labour, and Community has partnered with Windsor’s artist run centre, Artcite Inc., Windsor District Labour Council, Museum Windsor, and dozens of local artists and other workers to create an annual May Festival.

The book documents ten years of innovation in labour arts and its impact on this community:     thematic exhibitions, community quilts, original theatre events, annual High School environmental awareness exhibitions, and culture-creating projects, are illustrated in this book, demonstrating and celebrating what people can do when they come together and organize for themselves.

Artists, cultural workers, and labour leaders will be present.
